Distance Learning Day Program
our day program aims to provide our TennisWorks students with academic support for distance learning, social and emotional connection and skill development, and physical activity through tennis.
Program overview:
Students arrive no more than 15 minutes prior to their first class and shares their class schedule for the day with a member of the Fort’s TennisWorks staff.
4 - 8 students are in each classroom along with a classroom mentor.
Each student receives their own sanitized, socially-distanced desk and has access to wi-fi to join their distance learning classes. All students should wear headphones when listening to audio through their devices. If it would be helpful to have something printed out, students can ask their classroom mentor for assistance with printing.
Students stay in groups/pods both in the classroom and on the tennis court of no more than 8 students.
Lunch and snacks are provided each day, if needed. Students can also bring their own.
Fun brain breaks are provided as schedules allow throughout the day.
Each day ends with on-court tennis after classes end (no earlier than 2:30pm) and until 4pm.
A limited number of spots are available on an invitation only basis with priority given to past participants of our TennisWorks after-school programs.
What students should bring:
