Fred Wells Tennis & Education Center announces the appointment of Aaron Holland – Director of Operations

Fred Wells Tennis and Education Center (The Fort) is pleased to announce that Aaron Holland will become the Director of Operations at the St. Paul based nonprofit.  Holland’s appointment will begin July 1st, 2018.

A familiar face at The Fort, Holland currently serves as the Program Director – Junior Team Tennis as well as a tennis instructor.  As the Director of Operations, Holland will provide supervision, leadership and guidance to the facility, desk and stringing staff and promote the organization’s culture and its mission. He will manage the maintenance of the facility in maximizing the longevity, safety and efficiency.

Prior to joining The Fort, Holland was a Senior Recreation Specialist for the city of Aurora, Colorado, where he managed multiple youth sports programs. While managing the programs, he oversaw the day to day operation and programming of 30 tennis courts spanning five separate tennis facilities. His responsibilities also included preparing and managing program budgets, coordinating 300+ yearly league teams, and marketing the sports programs.

Holland received his bachelor’s degree in Park and Recreation Management with a minor in Business Management from South Dakota State University. While there, he was also a member of the men’s tennis team. He received his master’s degree in Sports Administration from the University of Northern Colorado. Aaron is certified by the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) in junior development.
