Robin is Minnesota-bred; she grew up in Como Park and played tennis at Cretin-Derham Hall High School, where she lettered four times and made a state championship appearance in singles. She went on to play at Montana State University, where she was recently inducted into the hall of fame.
Robin has been teaching tennis in the Twin Cities area for more than 25 years, working primarily at White Bear Racquet and Swim (which eventually became Life Time Fitness).
