Matt Edin joined The Fort as a tennis instructor in 2012. He grew up in Central Minnesota and lettered in three sports at Staples-Motley High School – football, basketball and tennis. His tennis skills earned him two trips to the Minnesota State High School League tennis tournament.
Edin played collegiate tennis at Concordia College in Moorhead where he received All Conference honors in each of his four years. He graduated with a degree in exercise science in 2011.

What makes an exceptional player: Athleticism, short memory, mental toughness
When I’m losing, I focus on: Making the best of each point and opportunity that I have
When I’m winning, I focus on: Continuing to keep thing under control and keeping things simple
Favorite food: Pizza

People would be surprised that I: Play tennis (for those not in the tennis world)
Items on my bucket list: Travel Europe, fly a plane, go scuba/sky diving
