In anticipation of a past Fall Fundraising Campaign (which launched with our ProAm Tournament & Fundraiser), Junior Program participant Jamal took to the streets on behalf of The Fort to answer a pressing question: Who is Fred? 

(Will we find Fred? Stay tuned!) 

You might recognize some (A LOT) of Fort faces in this video about tennis in the Hispanic community. Our Tennis2College students and staff star in this testament to the power of tennis that is accessible and inviting across the boundaries of race, gender and socio-economic status.

The Fort community joins South in mourning the loss of Sha-Kym Adams

8.28.14 - 15-year-old Sha-Kym Adams, an avid football player and a long-time Tennis2College participant, drowned in Lake Nokomis in August. He will be greatly missed by The Fort community. 

Young tennis star battles odds to succeed in Minnesota

Junior standout Alexis Nelson caught the attention of the Star Tribune after a string of successes, which she credits to her supportive community.  

The Stingley family of St. Paul earned Family of the Year from the US Tennis Association. 
Junior tennis player Alexis Nelson was featured by CBS Minnesota for competing in the US Open Northern Qualifier.

2.20.14 - The Stingley family, who have been intimately involved with The Fort since before we opened our doors, earned Family of the Year from USTA Northern and then USTA as a whole. Check out the feature video USTA produced on the Stingleys here

Alexis Nelson is Just 15 & She's Aiming for the US Open

6.24.14 - Junior tennis phenom Alexis Nelson was featured by CBS Minnesota just before competing in the 2014 US Open Northern Qualifier.

Fred Wells Tennis & Education Center was featured in Tennis Magazine's Heroes Issue among tennis organizations and individuals "whose efforts have made a difference". 
Milliecia Lacy is a Tennis2College success story. She enrolled in our programs when they first began, and last year she earned a scholarship to attend Macalester College in St. Paul.
