Patron Policies & Services
Patrons are those who have paid the Annual Patron Fee.
Non-patrons are those playing at Fred Wells Tennis & Education Center who have not paid the annual fee.
Court Reservations
The reservation desk is staffed according to club hours and phones are answered during those times. Reservations for PATRONS may be phoned in up to seven days ahead, or two days in advance for NON-Patrons, beginning at 6am, with messages returned in the order that they are received.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance or you will be charged for the court. Partial cancellations are not permitted. Individuals will not be able to reserve courts until delinquent court fees are paid.
Tennis Lesson Policy
Tennis instruction of any kind can only be done at the center by those tennis pros/coaches hired by FWTEC. The only exception is instruction given to an immediate family member.
Retail Services
The Fred Wells Tennis and Education Center offers certified stringing services and a variety of quality merchandise and equipment.
Club Rental
The club is available for rent. Call Reid at (612) 252-8367 ext. 8 for availability and rates.
FWTEC Web Privacy Policy
Fred Wells Tennis and Education Center (FWTEC) has established this Web Privacy Policy to explain how we treat information we collect from you. This Policy does not apply to personal information collected from you in other ways, or through websites that we do not own or control.
We reserve the right to change this Web Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it frequently. If we change this Policy, we will post a revised Policy on our Site. If you continue to use this Site going forward, you hereby provide your consent to the revised Policy.
1. Collection of Information
We collect information that identifies you as an individual (“personal information”) on our FWTEC Site (“the Site”). We are the sole owner of the personal information collected on our Site, unless otherwise prohibited by law.
Registration and Account Creation
In order to use portions of our Site, you may be required to register or create an account. To register or create an account, you will be required to provide certain contact information, including your first and last name, date of birth and Patron ID, as well as a username and password chosen by you. We will use the email address you provide to send a confirmation email.
Patron Fees: If you pay for the annual Fred Wells Tennis and Education Patron Fee through our Site, you will be required to provide certain information, including your name, address, birth date, gender, email address, and an emergency contact. You will also be required to provide similar information for other people listed on the Patron form. You will be required to provide financial account information. We use this information to establish and manage your patronage here at FWTEC. We will send you an email confirming the purchase of your Annual Patron Fee.
Programs and Services
If you register and pay for programs or services through our Site you may be required to provide certain billing, and financial account information. We will use this information for customer services issues, payment purposes, and to process or fulfill your purchase through a third-party service provider. In that event, you may be required to provide certain information, including your name, address, email address, phone number, age and billing information.
2. Use of Information
In addition to the uses of information noted above, we will use your personal information for patron service purposes, including responding to your inquiries, to provide the services or products you request, and to manage your relationship with us.
Third-Party Service Providers/Agents
We use other companies to perform certain functions on our behalf and to provide you certain web-based applications, registration services and payment for programs and services. Unless you consent to it, we do not sell, rent or otherwise provide your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Legal/Law Enforcement
We reserve the right to disclose personal information about you as required by law and when we reasonably believe that disclosure is necessary to comply with a court order, a judicial proceeding, public health requirements or legal process. We also reserve the right to disclose personal information to law enforcement officials engaged in legitimate investigations; to prosecute or defend against claims related to Fred Wells, its Site users, members, guests or employees.
Security
The security of your personal information is important to us. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to secure your personal information. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read over the internet.
However, “perfect security” does not exist on the Internet, and there is always some risk in transmitting information electronically. The personal information we collect is stored within databases that we control directly or through our service providers. As we deem appropriate, we use security measures consistent with industry standards, such as firewalls and encryption technology, to protect your information. However, since no security system is impenetrable, we cannot guarantee the security of our databases, nor can we guarantee that information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to us over the Internet.
Refunds, Returns and Exchanges
- Merchandise. Merchandise in like new condition with original packaging and tags may be exchanged or returned for a full refund up to 30 days from the original date of purchase. Proof of purchase is required, such as a receipt. Online purchases may be subject to different refund policies.
- Services or Programs. Services or programs may be cancelled up to one (1) full business day, subject to any specific terms and conditions in contracts applicable to the service or program. Refunds for a cancellation due to medical condition(s) that prevents participation will be prorated based on the number of sessions attended.
- Membership Fee. We do not accept termination of yearly membership fees.
- Camps. You may cancel participation in a camp only by making a written cancellation request to Fred Wells Tennis and Education.
- Athletic Events. We do not refund prepaid entry fees for athletic events, including but not limited to tennis events and/or fundraisers.
- Fitness Programs, Group (Non-Camp) Activities, and Individual Activities. You may cancel group classes (e.g., cardio tennis, etc), and private or individual classes (e.g., private tennis lessons) only by contacting your individual trainer, instructor or coach at least 24 hours in advance of the lesson or program. We will refund all amounts paid if we receive your written cancellation notice within three (3) business days of the date you purchased the program or classes or at any time before your first session has been serviced, whichever is later. If we receive your cancellation notice after your first session has been serviced, we will not refund any amount you have already paid, but we will service your paid sessions on the schedule then in effect. Unused sessions expire one year from purchase. We will not refund any amount for a scheduled session that you fail to attend or fail to reschedule or postpone (by contacting your designated trainer, instructor or coach) at least 24 hours in advance. We will provide a refund or credit for programs or classes that we cancel if we cannot find a suitable alternative for the registrant.
- Refund Methods. Unless otherwise required by law, we will issue refunds only to the payor as follows:
Credit Card. Payments made via credit card will be refunded to the same credit card account used at the time of purchase.
Cash or Check. Payments made via cash, check or bank withdrawal may be refunded by means of membership dues credit, or check. Refunds for payments by check will be processed within 30 days, unless the payor provides a copy of the cleared bank draft or check from his or her financial institution in which case the refund may be made more quickly.
EFT from Bank Account. Payments made via electronic fund transfer from a bank account (EFT or ACH) may be refunded by means of a membership dues adjustment credit, or credit to the payor’s original bank account. Refunds will be processed within 30 days.
