Junior Team Tennis

Junior Team Tennis is another great way to enjoy summer at The Fort! It's a combination of practice and match-play with an emphasis on skill development, fun, teamwork and friendly competition. Teams train at our premier St. Paul tennis facility from June - July, typically playing once or twice a week. For summer 2016 we have several 12U, 14U, and 18U options.

Women's Daytime League Banquet

Please join us for a fun celebration of the Fred Wells Tennis & Education Center's 2015-2016 WDL season. All teams and subs are invited to join their coaches and teammates for a luncheon, awards presentation and to play a little bocce ball. 
  
Cost is FREE for all players who paid annual fees, and includes food and bocce ball. 
  
Cost is $25 for players who did not pay annual fees. You can either pay in person at the event or at The Fort. 
  
Please RSVP by April 30 so that we can order the appropriate amount of food. 
  
Awards will be presented to each team's Most Improved Player and Best Fred (the player that exemplifies the best overall character on and off the court.) 
  
We're looking forward to celebrating with you!

It's back... and you don't want to miss it! This doubles tournament features some of The Fort's best junior and adult talent, paired up together to fight for glory. Last year, Team Australia took home the title. Will they be able to defend their spot on the podium? Proceeds from the tournament benefit our TennisWorks program

Wells Cup Tournament & Fundraiser

Freds, you’re invited to the 3rd Annual Wells Cup Tournament & Fundraiser, a doubles tournament for juniors, adults & coaches from The Fort! Teams will compete in a Davis Cup-style format, with varying levels of doubles partners competing on behalf of their respective countries! Proceeds will help support summer tennis and education experiences for students from under-resourced communities.  A Rio Olympics-themed night of tennis, food and friends in support of a good cause... can you think of a better way to spend a Saturday in April? Let's see if Coach Sollenberger and Team Jamaica can defend their title!

Fort Family Dinner & Service Day

The first-ever Fort Family Dinner & Service Day will take place on Saturday, February 6
from 2 - 5 p.m. We will be creating  community service projects from 2 - 4 p.m.Court time will start at 3 p.m., with dinner running from 4 - 5 p.m.

Families from all of our programs are invited to participate in collective service, to spend some time on court and to enjoy a meal together! We'll be putting all these generous hands to use making fleece blankets for homeless youth, rice packets for hungry families, and designing and filling snack bags for youth programs in need of healthy options.

More about Luke: 

Luke Jensen is a retired pro who won the French Open in Men's Doubles in 1993 and was a Grand Slam finalist at the US and French Opens for mixed. He was ranked 6th in the world for doubles at his career high, and 168 in singles. After retiring from the pro circuit, he coached women's tennis at Syracuse University. He currently works as a tennis analyst for ESPN and travels the world as in instructor, motivational speaker and tennis ambassador.

Celebrating the life of Sha-Kym Adams

Please join us this Saturday, January 10 from 2:30 - 4pm in celebrating the life of Sha-Kym Adams, a vibrant Tennis2College student who we lost in a tragic accident in 2014.

We will dedicate a memorial in Sha-Kym's honor and share remembrances. There will be light refreshments.
