We talk about volunteers a lot around here. That's because they are absolutely CRITICAL to our programs. Seriously. We are not exaggerating when we say we couldn't do it without them.

For instance:

Can you believe it? $47,902 worth of service contributed to our Tennis2College program over ONE school year. See what we mean about volunteers being critical to our programs?

It's easy to look at that number and see just that: just a number. But every one of those hours and every one of those dollars directly impacts at-risk youth. Our T2C program serves kids who come from low-income households, which makes them less likely to graduate high school, less likely to reach college, and less likely to have access to high-quality after school programs. We bring not only tennis to these students, but also life-skills programming and academic support. Each and every day, we fight with these students to help them overcome the odds and our state's abysmal achievement gap, and our volunteers help us do it.

If you're interested in getting involved, contact Judy Long at Judy@fwtec.org--we're always looking for new volunteers (no tennis experience necessary!) Even if you can only give an hour here or there, think about it this way: every hour you contribute is worth $22.55. Now that's an impactful hour!
