Of all the sponsors and partners of the work we do at Fred Wells Tennis & Education Center, Al Vento definitely wins Most Delicious. You may have been lucky enough to taste their delectable spaghetti with meatballs or creamy fettucini at one of our recent Pro-Ams (before it was devoured, anyway) but if you haven't, we're kind of curious what you're doing still reading this blog post when you should be hopping in the car and heading over to the corner of 34th Ave and 50th St.

Two especially great ways to enjoy Al Vento

1. Tuesday Date Night. Four courses for $20, and the menu's a little different every week. We're salivating looking at last week's, especially the Dolce.

2. Wednesday Sandwich Nights - Sandwiches this good for $6 is a steal any night of the week. House made meatball Stromboli with mother sauce? Herb roasted pork shoulder on focaccia? How can we ever choose?

Al Vento posts the weekly Tuesday and Wednesday night offerings on its Facebook page

Al Vento is awesome--and not only because it was named City Pages' Best Italian Restaurant of 2013 and offers a mean weekend brunch. The Al Vento team has also been incredibly, selflessly supportive of Fred Wells Tennis & Education Center over the years (and helped us feed our other supporters!). That's because they believe in our vision of leveraging fee-based tennis programs like tennis lessons, classes, leagues and tennis court rentals to support at-risk Twin Cities youth through our Tennis2College program.

We continually depend on support from individuals and organizations like Al Vento to support our tennis & education programs for low-income kids who might not otherwise have access to impactful after-school programming. We can never thank our supporters enough, but we can try!
